The question at the heart of the original Decision Eau de Parfum is centred on a bolt of lightning – will it destroy the juniper tree upon which it has inflicted its electric energy, or prompt it to seek a deeper, more enduring life? In Decision 42, Quentin Bisch makes the scenario even more urgent. With a staggering 42% concentration, the composition now features a sharper evocation of the lightning, thanks to the use of Neroli, Cardamom and Cinnamon. The Juniper has been combined with Javanol, Patchouli and Rectified Pine Tar to make it darker, smokier, and more far-reaching. Finally, the base of the scent has been rendered more life-affirming with the addition of Vanilla and Labdanum. These grandiose elements combine to make perfume’s existential exploration even more piercing and insightful.
