The Amouage Essences are the result of a lengthy six-month double infusion process carried out in our Muscat Manufactory.

This meticulous approach began with the three perfume concentrates, which were compounded and left to mature for six months in our traditional metallic tanks. To these concentrates, we added 5% of small Australian sandalwood chips, allowing their essence to gradually infuse and enrich the blend.

Simultaneously, pure bioethanol was aged in custom-made for Amouage, French oakwood barrels, each with a medium roast, for the same duration. 


Meticulously hand-made by artisans whose skills have been passed down from generation to generation, the barrels were transported to the Amouage manufactory in Muscat, ready to play their part in this truly novel enterprise.
